A powerful awareness rally and public programme were successfully held in Nintavur to mark the World Day Against Child Labour. The event was organised under the leadership of the National Child Protection Authority, in collaboration with the Nintavur Divisional Secretariat, student ambassadors from South Eastern University of Sri Lanka, and Harwest International Business College.

The rally began at 9:00 AM from the Divisional Secretariat premises, led by Divisional Secretary Mr. A.M. Abdul Latheef and coordinated by Divisional Child Protection Officer Mr. Y.M. Imriyas, and concluded at the HIBC campus. The event saw the participation of over 150 attendees, including government officials, university representatives, educators, law enforcement, and community members.

💼 Harwest International Business College served as the official implementing partner and full sponsor of the entire programme. The success of the event was powered by the full involvement of HIBC’s students, academic staff, operations team, and media crew (Agni Media), who managed all aspects including logistics, coordination, venue arrangements, media coverage, and technical support.

This collaborative initiative reinforced the urgent call to end child labour and to ensure a safe and supportive environment for every child. 👧🏽👦🏻
